Torrington PAL is a non profit (501c3) organization that serves over 1000 children ages 5-18 throughout the communities of the Northwest Corner of Connecticut. Started by local police volunteers over 28 years ago, PAL is staffed through the generous support of our community, The United Way, grants and partnerships with local foundations and businesses.  As a philanthopic cause of the Torrington Police, PAL is fortunate to work closely with the officers of the Torrington Police Department and The City of Torrington who generously donate officers time, volunteer time, office space, and support PAL programs through personal donations and material support.  We also collaboarte closely with The Board of Education, Torrington Parks and Rec, Northwest Connecticut Community College's Office of Academic Success, local artists, and several community agencies, especially New Opportunities. Without the help of the PD, The City, our community volunteers and generous donations from our Community-- we could not offer the programs and the mentorship that are helping so many children to succeed, seek higher education and better their community!
